Victor E. Greimann

GREIMANN, Victor E. “Vic”, age 90, of Kettering, passed away, Monday November 19, 2007. Vic is preceded in death by his parents William & Betty Greimann, his first wife Marge and 3 brothers. Vic was a graduate of Iowa State University in 1942 with a degree in Civil Engineering. Vic was a veteran of WW II serving in the Army Air Corps. His dedication to the David’s United Church of Christ included service on many of the church boards. He was President of the David’s Cemetery and was instrumental in building the three mausoleums. Vic was named Kettering’s “Man of the Year” in 1978 as a result of his service and dedication to the city of Kettering Planning Commission. Vic was a lifelong builder of custom homes in the Dayton and Kettering areas. Vic is survived by his wife of 48 years, Lois Greimann, 3 daughters and sons-in-law; Vicki (John) Ley of Colorado Springs, CO, Sharon (Jim) Blixt of Reo Verde, AZ and Salli (Kelly) McKenna of Colorado Springs, CO, 1 Son David Victor Greimann of Huntington Beach, CA, 1 step-daughter; Lynette (Lynn)(Kanani) Whaley of Vandalia, OH, 1 brother; Earl (Alice) Greimann of Denver, CO, 3 sisters, special grand daughter; Tricia Byrd of Kettering, OH, grandson Richard Byrd of Vandalia, OH; grandchildren, Lindsey and Jeff Blixt of AZ, Grant and Samantha Solich, Collene, Maren and Branden McKenna and Brian and Michael Ley of CO; and 5 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 12 Noon Friday, November 23, 2007 at the David’s United Church of Christ, 170 W. David Road, Kettering, OH with Rev. Rebecca Erb Stang officiating. The family will receive friends on Friday from 9:30 AM until service time at the church. Burial will follow in David’s Cemetery.
