Helme, Virginia Catherine Williams, "Ginny", died Wednesday, November 16, 2016. Born May 3, 1921 in Virginia Minnesota.
She served in the Army as a physical therapist during World War II and then was a wonderful wife, mother and homemaker.
Preceded in death by her husband William B. Helme, MD and their son, William J. Helme. Survived by her sister Jacquelyn (John) Miesbauer, her daughters Joan Helme, Mary (Larry Stratmoen) Helme, Nancy Helme, and Kathleen (Ronald) Emery, grandchildren Rebecca (Patrick) McCusker, Thomas (Laura) Demko, Jennifer Helme-Redmond, Madeline (Andrew) Baran, Alexander Caron, Daniel Demko, Douglas Emery, and Benjamin Emery and 11 great grandchildren.
Funeral Mass Monday, November 21, 2016 at 12pm at Incarnation Church 55 Williamsburg Ln, Dayton, OH 45459. In lieu of flowers, donations to Hospice of Dayton are requested.
"At the tender age of 95, our dear mother, Virginia (Ginny) Helme passed away today peacefully to join her beloved Bill(s). What phenomenal grace and kindness she shared with us during her journey. We celebrate her wonderful life and her service to this country in WWII. We are so grateful to have had such an incredible mom whom we will all miss terribly!"
