PARHAM, Virginia (nee Ward) Jackson, 82, of West Carrollton passed away on Wednesday, March 19, 2008 at Hospice of Dayton. Ginny was born in Bybee, KY on March 23, 1925 and raised in Morrow, OH to the late Henry and Molly Ward. Ginny never met a stranger and was loyal to her friendships, some of which spanned back to her one room schoolhouse days. She enjoyed flower gardening, needle work and antiquing with her late husband, Bud. She was retired from the Dayton Daily News. She was preceded in death by her loving second husband, Ligue "Bud," Parham in 1998; brothers, James and Art Ward, and sister, Betty Swigert-Gray. Ginny is survived by her children, Jill Jackson of Kettering, Barry Jackson of New Lebanon, Michael (Sandy) Jackson of Florida; and Michael's children; Aaron (Liz) of CO, Eli of FL, Alexis (Andrew) Rhynard of Dayton, Ashley of CO; great-grand daughter, Katrina Rhynard, brothers; Frank (Mary) Ward of Lebanon, OH; Lester (Bobbie) Ward of Dayton; and sisters; Sarah Corwin of Lebanon, OH and Polly (Ed) Chmiel of CO and numerous nieces and nephews. All services will be private. Jill would like to thank Ginny's neighbors, Georgiana and Loran Delph who loved and watched out for her. Due to the experience of domestic violence in the family's past, it would be a fitting tribute for memorial contributions to be sent to the Artemis Center for Alternatives to Domestic Violence, 310 Monument Ave., Dayton, OH 45402. If you need help, please call 937-222-SAFE. Condolences and other remembrances may be sent to the family by visiting www.routsong.com
