Virginia Preston Truax

Truax, Virginia Preston (Jinny), of Lakewood, Colorado, born December 26, 1924 died November 14, 2017. After attending Denison University and graduating from the University of Cincinnati, she became Society Editor of the Springfield Daily News and later an advertising copy writer for Elders Department store in Dayton, Ohio. For 20 years she also wrote a nationally syndicated newspaper column. She was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Jenny Truax and David McDermott (Lakewood), and by her daughter Nancy Truax of San Antonio, Texas. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Nancy Preston of Cincinnati; four grandchildren, Maxwell and Leah McDermott and Nicholas and Evan Gauger; and 4 nieces and 2 nephews. A brief grave side service will occur at the Miami Cemetery (Corwin, Ohio) at a later date.
