Virginia S. Lusa

' Ginny', age 89 of Dayton, passed away, Tuesday, May 27, 2003 at Hospice of Dayton. Ginny was a member of The Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church in Dayton. She operated a restaurant on the west side of Dayton. In 1974, Ginny retired from Inland after 30 years of service. She was a member of the Inland Girls Club and very active in the Inland Retiree Club, and the Inland DIAA Golf and Bowling Teams along with church memberships in the Daughters of Penelope, 'Young at Heart' and Philoptochos. Ginny also volunteered in the gift shop at Miami Valley Hospital for 20 years. She was preceded in death by her sister, Sultana 'Toni' Newsome. Survived by her two sons, George Lusa and John and his wife, Marilyn Lusa all of Washington Township; brother, Gordon Stoney of MI; sister, Luba Forbes of NC; 4 grandchildren, Holly Lusa Erzen of Chicago, Bradley Lusa of CA, Mark Lusa of FL and Julie (Lusa) Bauer of MI; 1 great grandchild, Kristina Bauer; 3 nephews, Barry Newsome, Randy Newsome, and Todd Stoney; 2 nieces, Jackie Gitman, Mary George and several grand nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held, Saturday, May 31, at 10:00 AM, at The Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, with prayers at 9:15 AM at the Funeral Home. Father Mark Emroll officiating. Burial in Woodland Cemetery. Family will receive friends Friday evening from 5-8:00 PM, with Trisagion prayers at 6:30 PM at the Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering.
