Virginia T. Bailey

Bailey, Virginia T., age 82, a resident of Springfield Masonic Home Community, passed away on Tuesday, June 3, 2014. Virginia was born to the late Hubert and Mamie (nee Perdieu) Thomas in Princeton, WV on October 29, 1931. Virginia was a loving, caring and giving lady who enjoyed spending time with her family, tending to her garden or reading a good book. She was the Senior Citizen Volunteer of the year in Xenia, and volunteered for local gardening centers and gift shops. Virginia is preceded in death by her parents and brother, Robert Thomas. She is survived by her husband, Joel Bailey; children, Leah Bailey, Fairborn; Keith (Andria) Bailey, North Carolina; Regina (Larry) Deese, California; Stephen Bailey, Columbus; and Virgil (Karen) Bailey, Colorado; 6 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; siblings, Shirley Roseman, Texas; Earl Thomas, West Virginia, and Dolly Fitzpatrick, Miamisburg. The family would like to give a special thank you to everyone for their love and support. Family will greet friends from 9:00am-10:30am on Saturday, June 7, 2014 at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 Stroop Rd. Kettering, with a funeral service to follow. Burial will be at Valley View Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Xenia Adult Recreation and Service Center, 130 E. Church St. Xenia, OH 45385.
