Virginia Ann Cook Thompson

Virginia Ann Cook Thompson, age 87, born in Austin Texas, completed her journey this side of Heaven on Sunday, November 10, 2024. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert “Bob” Thompson, their only child and much-loved son, Curtis Scott Thompson, and special dog, Babe.

Virginia was an artist, teacher, and retired businesswoman. She loved classical music, books, and anything beautiful in the arts field. She was an avid bird lover as well as anything in the animal world. Virginia was the founder and original owner of the Yellow Bird Florist and Boutique and the Yellow Bird Gift and Toys stores in the Dayton area. She won many ribbons from her numerous entries in the Montgomery County Fair.

Virginia leaves a niece, Denise (Ken) Harper, to cherish the many memories they had together.

At Virginia’s request, there will be no visitation or funeral service.
