TURNER, Virginia “Ginny”, age 88, of Centerville, passed away Tuesday, May 7, 2024.
Ginny was born November 2, 1935 in Portsmouth, Ohio; to the late Owen and Marie (Underwood) Mussetter. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Wells A. Turner; sister, Ruth Anne Hutchinson and brother Jack Mussetter. Virginia is survived by son, Jeffrey Turner; daughters, Kathy (Darren) Stanze; Kristy (Jeremy) Sellers and Kelly (Robert) Coleman; 9 grand-children; 13 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Ginny attended Portsmouth High School. For over 20 years, Ginny was a loving stay-at-home mother of four. She devoted her time raising her children and providing a fun, loving home. She cherished watching her family grow over the years. Later in life, she served students as the “favorite lunch lady” at Bellbrook High School cafeteria.
Ginny was deeply rooted in her faith in Jesus Christ. She was a long-time member of Faith Baptist Church in Beavercreek. Through the visitation team, she would serve those unable to leave their homes to attend church. A member with Young at Heart, Ginny enjoyed traveling to new places. Ginny was an avid reader and could be found spending her free time with a good book. She bowled on a league for several years. After a long battle with congestive heart failure, Virginia’s heart is healed in Heaven.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00pm Saturday, May 18 at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Road, Kettering, OH 45429. Family and friends may visit from 11:00am until the time of service. Virginia will be laid to rest at Beavertown Cemetery alongside her husband.
