STICK, Virginia W., age 74, of Oakwood, passed away on Monday, April 28, 2003 at Walnut Creek Nursing Center after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease. She was born in Pittsburgh, PA on March 6, 1929, the only child of Arthur and Caroline Wise. Her family moved to Oakwood in 1931. She was a 1947 graduate of Oakwood High School. She went to Smith College, where she received her BA in Theatre Arts in 1951. Virginia was a tennis and bridge enthusiast, and a longtime member of Virginia Hollinger Tennis Club, Dayton Country Club, and the Smith College Club of Cincinnati. She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Henry H. Stick; daughter and son-in-law, Margaret and Paul Parisi of Lincoln, MA and grandchildren, Justine, Grant, Chase, and Reid Parisi; daughter and son-in-law Dr. Sally McIntyre and Roger McIntyre of Oakwood and grandchildren, Jack, Ben and Sam McIntyre; daughter and son-in-law Nora and John Michel of Cincinnati and grandchildren, Madeline and Trent Michel; and son, Henry Stick of Kettering. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, April 30, at 11:00 a.m. at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 125 North Wilkinson Street, with The Reverend Kay Davis-Dudding officiating. The family will greet friends at the church following the memorial service.
