Vivian Barker

BARKER, Vivian, age 81, of Kettering, passed away on Thursday, November 28, 2013 at her home. She was born on May 23, 1932 in Hamilton, OH to the late Lee and Evelyn Gray. Vivian graduated from Hamilton High School. She volunteered for her children's schools and was President of the Women's Homebuilders Association. Vivian is preceded in death by her husband, Edison Barker; granddaughter, Karen Ackerman; and sisters, Louise Ingram and Sylvia Brown. She is survived by her children, Larry (Darlene) Barker of Centerville, Linda Barker (Rick) Thrasher of Mason, and Lisa (Steve) Colebaugh of Troy; grandchildren, Sheila, Christine, and Laura; great-granddaughter, Elise; step-grandchildren, Courtney and Erin; and numerous nieces and nephews. Family will greet friends & family from 11:00am-1:00pm on Tuesday, December 3, 2013 at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 East Stroop Road, Kettering. A funeral service will be held following the visitation at 1:00pm at the funeral home. Burial will follow at David's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Ave., Dayton, OH 45420.
