Vivian L. Brown

BROWN, Vivian L. (Anderson), age 82, of Washington Township, passed away on July 1, 2018. She was born on March 24, 1936 to Carl and Gladys (Sanders) Anderson in Indianapolis, Indiana. She graduated from Bridgeton High School in 1953, and married Marvin Brown on April 30, 1955. Vivian was a homemaker for most of her life. She loved children, and in addition to raising her own family she often cared for other children as well. Vivian was an avid reader, loved birds (especially hummingbirds), and enjoyed visiting with her extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Marvin, two brothers (Carl Jr. and Robert), and two sisters (Colleen Kay and Norma Jean). Vivian is survived by daughter Kay (Neil) Webster, son David (Becky) Brown, and son Nathan Brown, grandchildren Andy (Jenn) Johnson, Emily Brown, Abigale Brown, Aric Brown, and Andreas Brown, great-grandchildren Jace and Jax Johnson, sisters Lynn Payne and Shirley Shaner and numerous nieces and nephews. She was a member of the Bridgeton United Methodist Church. Vivians family thanks the staff of Brighton Gardens of Washington Township and Hospice of Dayton for the excellent care and compassion shown to her. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Ave., Dayton OH, 45420. A memorial service will be held later in Indiana.
