Vivian O. Howard
March 8, 1913 — May 30, 2001
age 88 of Kettering, formerly of Hyden, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, May 30, 2001. Vivian taught school for many years in Hyden and retired from the Kettering City Schools. She was a dedicated member of the Church of the Cross United Methodist. Preceded in death by her husband, Ray; and 2 brothers, Clinton and Dwight Oehlerking. Survived by a son, Michael R. Howard (Adna) of Kettering; 2 grandchildren, Darren M. Howard (Julie) of Kettering and James E. Howard, U.S. Navy, Norfolk, VA; and 3 great grandchildren, Tyler, Blake and Katie Howard. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Saturday in the Church of the Cross United Methodist, 3121 Wilmington Pike, Kettering with Pastor John Whitaker officiating. Burial in David's Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 5-7:00 P.M., Friday in the Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering.
