It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Brad Mahle, who left us on February 6, 2025, after a brave battle with cancer. Born on July 25, 1965 in Dayton, Ohio, Brad lived a vibrant and fulfilling life that touched the hearts of many.
A proud graduate of Fairmont High School, class of 1984, Brad's spirit shone brightly on the football field as a dedicated linebacker, made 1st Team Linebacker in the WOL sporting the number 24 with pride. His love for sports continued throughout his life, as he cheered passionately for his beloved Ohio State Buckeyes, Cincinnati Bengals, and Cincinnati Reds.
Brad's professional journey spanned thirty years at General Motors, where he put in hard work and dedication every day. Beyond his career, he found joy in fitness and was a regular at the Kettering Recreation Center, where he inspired others with his commitment to staying active.
A member of Ascension Catholic Church in Centerville, Brad cherished his faith and the community that came with it. Family was of utmost importance to him, and he relished every moment spent with his siblings and his numerous nieces and nephews, always ready with a smile and a word of encouragement.
He is survived by his loving parents, Bill and Jackie Mahle of Kettering, as well as his siblings, Brian (Jen) Mahle of Clear creek Township, sister Jill Kinney of Kettering and Brett (Megan) Mahle of Louisville, Ky: He leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter through his nieces and nephews: Alexandra, Kelly, Brody, Corbin, Gavin, Tatum, Marin, and Larkin, along with his great-nieces and great-nephews: Sutton, Quinn, Kash, Leah, and Winston.
There will be a Mass of Christian Burial at Ascension Catholic Church, 2025 Woodman Dr. in Kettering, on February 19, 2025, at 11:00am. Friends and family will gather to honor his memory at a visitation prior to mass from 9:30- 11:00am. All are welcome to join in sharing stories and cherished moments that reflect the joy Brad brought into our lives.
Brad Mahle may have left this world, but his spirit, humor, and unwavering love will forever remain in our hearts.
In lieu of flowers, friends may make donations to the charity of their choice.
