Walter L. Frederick, a beloved figure in the lives of many, passed away on March 25, 2025, at the age of 82 in Dayton, Ohio. Born on March 8, 1943, in Middletown, Walter dedicated over 30 years of his professional life to building management at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, where he was known for his unwavering commitment and exemplary work ethic.

Walter was a proud graduate of Stivers High School, having completed his education in 1961. His achievements were underscored by his military service as a Vietnam veteran in the Army, a period in his life that shaped his character and values.

A passionate sports fan, Walter enjoyed following the Cincinnati Reds, the University of Dayton, and Ohio State University football. Walt was an avid golfer and played anytime he got a chance. His enthusiasm for sports was infectious, capturing the hearts of those who shared moments with him, whether at the stadium or in the comfort of home.

Walter is survived by his devoted wife, Judy Frederick, who was his partner for life's journey. He leaves behind a loving family, including a brother, Stephen (Mary Jo) Frederick, and sisters Judy Lee, Brenda Newport, and Vicky Lopez. Walter's legacy continues through his step-daughters, Cynthia Kirk, Jill Liest, and Jennifer Bouanani, as well as his cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He also holds a special place in the hearts of numerous nieces and nephews, particularly his nephew Ronnie Newport, who will remember him fondly.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Edna Frederick, and his brother, Bill Frederick. Walter's passing leaves a void in the lives of all who knew him, but the memories of his kindness, strength, and vibrant spirit will forever remain in their hearts.

Memorial Services will be held at 1:00pm Sunday, April 6, 2025 at the ROUTSONG FUNERAL HOME, 2100 East Stroop Rd. Kettering, Ohio 45429. Family will greet friends following the Memorial Service at Routsong. Final resting place service will be at Calvary Cemetery
