Walter Jack Mclaren Jr.

McLAREN, Walter Jack Jr., age 84, passed away Saturday, August 12th at Heartland of Kettering. Walt graduated from Oakwood High School and Washington and Lee University. He was a Naval Lieutenant in WWII and served on a LCS-101. Preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Amelia McLaren, two brothers- in- law, Lloyd and Don Mudd, and one grandchild, Andy Holmes. Survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Geraldine (Gerry), three married children Walter (Tracy) McLaren, Sue (Jim) Milam, Nancy (Dale) Lakes, six grandchildren, one great grandchild, and two sisters-in-law. A Memorial Mass will be held on Wednesday, August 16, 2006 at 12 noon at St. Albert the Great Church, 3033 Far Hills Ave., Kettering. Family will receive friends in the gathering space at the church from 11:00 to 12:00 noon prior to the Mass. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Heartland of Kettering, 3313 Wilmington Pike, Kettering, OH 45429 or Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Ave., Dayton, OH 45420.
