age 66, of Centerville, passed away Tuesday, July 9, 2002. He attended Mt. Vernon Academy graduating in 1954. Walter then graduated from Andrews University and The Seventh Day Adventist Theological Seminary both in Berrien Springs, MI. He was a lifetime member and pastor in several Seventh Day Adventist churches for the past 40 years. Walter also taught religion classes at The Kettering College of Medical Arts and was a volunteer at the Kettering Medical Center. Preceded in death by parents, George Sherman and LaVora Wilson. Survived by his wife of 45 years, Carol Sherman; 2 sons, Steven (Nadine) Sherman and their children James, Carina, and Alina of Puerto Rico; David (Kimberly) Sherman and their children Elisabeth, Emily, David of Berrien Springs, MI; daughter, Mary Kay (Michael) Cobb and their daughter Madison of Kettering. Memorial services will be Friday, July 12, 7:00 PM, at the Kettering Seventh Day Adventist, 3939 Stonebridge Rd with Pastor Dan Stevens officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions, may be made to, Beavercreek Seventh Day Adventist Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 160 Beavercreek, OH 45434-0161.
