HAZELL Wanda F., age 91, passed away Monday, May 12, 2008 at Hospice of Dayton after suffering a stroke in April of this year. Her mother, Nellie Lynn and husband, Albert H. Hazell preceded her in death. Survived by daughter, Jacqueline Hazell, son, Charles Hazell and grandcats, Cinderella and Gertrude. Wanda was a proud 1934 graduate of Stivers High School and looked forward to attending the reunions every year. After graduation she attended Sinclair Community College and worked at Graybar Electric before starting a family. After that she worked part time for the Kettering School System and retired in 1997. Wanda was an amazing lady. She raised her handicapped son, Charles, as a single parent for 40 years after her husband passed away in 1968. She was instrumental in arranging the opportunity for Charles to be the first handicapped student to attend Kettering City Schools. One of her proudest moments was watching Charlie graduate from Fairmont West High School in 1982. Funeral Services will be held, 11:30 am Wednesday at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Road, Kettering, where the family will receive visitors for 1 hour prior to the service. Rev. Richard McGhee officiating. Interment to follow at Calvary Cemetery. Jackie and Charlie would like to extend a special thank you to Barbara Zimmerman and Roger Bauser for their endless help and support. In lieu of flowers please make a donation in Wanda's memory to Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Avenue, Dayton, OH 45420 or SICSA, 2600 Wilmington Pike, Dayton, OH 45419.
