Wanda Lee (Ward) Naudasher

NAUDASHER, Wanda Lee (née Ward), age 93, of Kettering, OH, passed away on Monday, October 7, 2024. Wanda was born on September 23, 1931, to the late James P. and Eva (née Patrick) Ward in Sugarcreek Township. She grew up in Sugarcreek and graduated from Fairmont High School, class of 1949. While in high school, Wanda met and later married the love of her life, Robert Naudasher. Soon after, they started their family together in the Kettering area. She worked locally for the U.S. Census Bureau before attending Sinclair College. Following her education, she began her long career as a manager with DayAir Credit Union, later retiring in 1989.

In her retirement, Wanda enjoyed volunteering and supported numerous groups in her free time, including The Lathrem Center, the Red Hat Society, and the local food kitchen through her church. She was a longtime member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church and could often be found helping with various church programs. Wanda was always happiest when spending time with her family and loved gathering everyone together over a warm, home-cooked meal. She enjoyed traveling, scrapbooking, and attending her grandchildren’s extracurricular activities. Her smile and compassionate personality will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Wanda was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Robert Naudasher; daughter, Sharon Norman; brothers, Chris, Chuck, and Stanley Ward; sister, Hester Perkins; and granddaughter, Krista Hays.

Wanda is survived by her son, Ronald (Joyce) Naudasher; grandchildren, Andrew (Ilah) Naudasher, Elizabeth (Brandon) Bradley, and Vanessa (John) Hepp; great-grandchildren, Aubrey and Alanda Hays, Drew and Kaden Naudasher, and Elliott Bradley; grandson-in-law, Sean Hays; sister, Thelma Wood; and numerous extended family and friends.

A visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Wednesday, October 16, 2024, at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering, OH 45429, with a funeral service to follow at 12 p.m. Burial will take place at Miami Valley Memory Gardens.
