THOMAS, Warren Joe, age 94, of Centerville, passed away on Friday, February 14, 2014.
Warren was born on April 26, 1919 in Washington Township and grew up to be one of the last farmers in that area. He served in the Philippines during WWII and was a long time member of the Rock Mariah Masonic Lodge, a member of the Scottish Rite, a Charter member and past Worthy Patron of the Eastern Star. He was also the longest living member of Centerville United Methodist Church.
Warren is preceded in death by his loving wife, Irma and parents, Earl and Mary Jane Thomas. He is survived by his children, Tim (Don Elliott) Thomas and Lynne (Gene) Svoboda; grandchildren, Mary Beth Thomas, Jen Wilson, Jonas (Lauren) Svoboda; and great-grandchildren, Sarah Wilson and Thomas Wilson.
The family would like to thank the staff at Bethany Lutheran Village for all the care they gave to Warren.
A service will be held at 11:30am on Saturday, March 1, 2014 at Routsong Funeral Home, 81 N. Main St, Centerville, Ohio. Family will greet friends one hour before the service at the funeral home. Warren will be laid to rest at Centerville Cemetery at a later date.
