HAMDAN, Wassim S, age 82, of Dayton, Ohio died December 8th, 2016, while vacationing in Florida, following a sudden illness.
Born in Beirut, Lebanon, Wassim left the country having received a Bachelor's degree in Business from the American University of Beirut. Once he settled in the US, he started a successful travel agency in Dayton which then expanded to several cities in Ohio.
Wassim was one of the founders of the Dayton Arab American Forum (DAAF), an organization which was instrumental in bringing the Arab community together. He was also one of the original founders of the Commonwealth Business Travel Group (CBTG).
Wassim is preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and a brother. He is survived by his two daughters, his wife, two granddaughters, two sisters and two brothers. Private family services will be held.
