Dr. William Beach Helme died Thursday, Oct. 14, 2004. Bill was born on Oct. 25, 1913, in Chicago. He was a neurosurgeon in Arizona but equally proud of his FBI experience in South America and his PT command in WWII. Bill belonged to the Notre Dame Club of Dayton. He was a faithful member of Church of the Incarnation, attending daily mass. Bill is survived by his loving wife, Ginny, 4 daughters: Joan Helme (Mike Jones) (San Diego, CA), Mary Demko (Centerville), Nancy Helme (Reno, NV) and Kathy (Ron) Emery (Cincinnati), and son-in-law, Tom Demko (Dayton), 8 grandchildren: Becky Demko, Tommy Demko, Jennifer Helme, Maggi Demko, Alex Caron, Danny Demko, Doug and Ben Emery and numerous nieces and nephews in Oak Park and Chicago, IL. He was preceded in death by his son, William Joseph Helme, sister, Marguerite McSheehy O’Brien and brother, James Myron Helme. Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:30 AM, Wednesday, at Church of the Incarnation, 7415 Far Hills Ave., Centerville. The family will greet friends from 5:00 – 9:00 PM, Tuesday at Routsong Funeral Home, 81 N. Main St., Centerville. Burial in Centerville Cemetery.
