William (Bill) Earl Hammer, Jr., age 83 of Kettering Ohio, passed away Tuesday, June 20th, 2023. Bill is now with the Lord in Heaven. He was most known for being a great son, brother, father, husband, and grandfather. He is survived by numerous family members and friends. Bill graduated from the University of Dayton with a degree in BIE and followed at Ohio State University with a graduate degree in MSIE. During his successful career, the University of Dayton presented Bill with the Distinguished Alumni Award for National and International Achievements. He had a great passion for engineering. He was a former executive at the Duriron Company and President of the Engineers Club of Dayton. His global expertise in Management Information Systems, Engineering, and Business Analytics inspired him to share and mentor future leaders in the field as an adjunct professor at the University of Dayton teaching Information Systems, Operational Supply Chain, and Business Analytics. Bill had several publications including his most current in 2017: Partnership-Based Benchmarking – Industrial Management and in 2021: Getting the Models Right is Key to Successful Analytics – ISE Magazine.
Services will be at David cemetery Mausoleum with a graveside portion being weather dependent, 4600 Mad River Road, Kettering, Ohio, on July 14th at noon with visitation half hour prior.
