HORSLEY, William Glenn, age 80, of Kettering, passed away on Friday, October 19, 2018. William was born to Orville and Amanda Horsley in Green, OH on January 29, 1938. He graduated from West Portsmouth High School in 1956, earned his Bachelors Degree from Park University, Parkville, MO in 1976, and his Masters Degree in 1982 from Central Michigan University in Mount Pleasant, MI.
William retired as a Chief Warrant Officer in the U.S. Army after serving over 21 years. During his service he was awarded the Bronze Star, Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal (2x), and several other service medals. He proudly served in the Department of Defense, July 1978-July 2004. For a majority of the time he was assigned as a Special Agent (Investigator) and retired as Special Agent in Charge, Dayton Ohio Field Office, Defense Security Service.
He was a member of Church of the Nazarene in West Carrollton, OH. William was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Karen A. (Fowler) Horsley; children, Ben (Kelly) Spitler, Jeff (Kelly) Spitler; grandchildren, Rebekah, Abigail, Joel, Jonathan, Bethany, Peter; great-grandchildren, Nathan, Elizabeth, Evelyn, along with his brother, Albert Horsley.
Memorial Service will take place on Monday, October 22 at 11am at West Carrollton Church of the Nazarene, 550 S. Elm St, West Carrollton.
