BOESCH, William Charles, age 88, of Centerville passed away Tuesday October 9, 2012.
William was a 1941 graduate of Chaminade High School and attended the University of Dayton. He served in the Army Air-Corp during WWII. William retired from Standard Register Company after 34 years of service and volunteered at the Air Force Museum. He was a member of St. Albert the Great, and was a former member of St. Rita's and Our Lady of Mercy.
He loved going to UD sporting events, going to the theater, and was a handyman around his home. He will be remembered for his pen and ink drawings of residences and Dayton landmark buildings, including many on the UD campus.
Preceded in death by his parents, Carl William Boesch and Mary Charlotte (Tepe) Boesch, and infant brother, Norman Boesch.
William was married to his loving wife of 65 years, Kathleen Boesch. He was a loving father and grandfather. He is survived by his son, William C. Boesch Jr. of Denver, CO; son, Michael W. (Debra L.) Boesch of Mentor, OH and their children, Lindsay M. Boesch and Whitney G. (Mark) Tonkinson, Ashley B. Boesch, and Daniel M. Boesch; son, James D. (Carmela C.) Boesch of Sharonville, OH and their children, Jeffrey C. Boesch, and Laura M. (Jason) Gilbert; daughter, Julie M. (Douglas F.) Busch of Penryn, CA and their children, Christopher C. and Andrew J. Busch.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12 noon on Tuesday, October 16, 2012 at St. Albert the Great Catholic Church, 3033 Far Hills Ave., Kettering. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will take place at Calvary Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Leonard's Benevolent Fund, 8100 Clyo Rd., Centerville, OH 45458, and Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Ave., Dayton, OH 45420.
