William D. Losita

LOSITO, William D., age 83 of Centerville, OH who formerly lived in Cincinnati for over 60 years, passed away Wednesday, January 15, 2003 at Franciscan at St. Leonard Health Care Center. Bill was a 6 year resident of Franciscan at St. Leonard's. While a resident of Cincinnati, he was an involved member of St. Margaret of Cortona Church. In his youth, he was a professional boxer, who went by the name, 'Cowboy Gary'. Bill retired from the maintenance department for Colerain Township and prior to that he was a service station manager on Reading Road in Cincinnati. Preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth in September 1984. Survived by his son, William F. Losito and daughter-in-law, Julieta Savova of Centerville; daughter, Judy A. Losito of MA; grandson, Daniel F. Losita of Dayton; 2 granddaughters, Rebecca M. and Sara E. Losito, both of Dayton; 2 sisters, Rose Derrick of KY and Angelina Nienaber of Cincinnati. Funeral Services will be held, Monday, January 20 at 7:00 PM at St. Leonard's, with Father Anthony Giannamore officiating and Father Eugene Contadino. SM, as homilist. The family will greet friends for a viewing one hour prior to the service (6:00 PM) at the church. In memory of William, contributions may be made to the Development Fund at Franciscan at St. Leonards Center, 8100 Clyo Rd., Centerville.
