William Falknor

FALKNOR, William "Bill", 79 of Washington Township died peacefully at his residence on Wednesday, September 3, 2008. After graduating from Fairview HS in Dayton, Bill went on to earn his B.S. in Business and J.D. from Indiana University, where he was a member of the Delta Tau Delta Fraternity and later the Indiana University Alumni Association. He was admitted into the Dayton Bar Association on August 21, 1952 and was an Honorary Life Member of the Ohio State Bar Association. Bill served his country as a 1st Lieutenant in the Air Force from 1952-1954. His career as an attorney included: Probate Court Referee (1954-1956), Assistant Montgomery County Prosecutor (1956-1960), Chief Referee for the Montgomery County Juvenile Court (1960-1964), private practice with Horace D. Worman (1964-1970) and with Winn Hamrick (1970-1991), and served as attorney for Washington Township in the 1970's. Bill was a 50-year 32nd Degree Scottish Rite Mason of the Millennium Lodge, having been Past Master of the Riverview Lodge. He was also a member of the Unity Chapter #16 Royal Arch Masons of Ohio. Bill is survived by his wife, Alberta Lee and son, Steven. Funeral services will be held 12:00 Noon on Monday, September 8th at the Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering. Family will receive friends from 10:00am until the time of services at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Woodland Cemetery, Dayton.
