William Frank Suttles

SUTTLES, Frank, age 89, of Oakwood, passed away Tuesday, November 25, 2003. He was born November 29, 1913, in Aurora, MO. Frank attended Harvard and Northwestern Universities for post-graduate studies. He graduated from Southwest Missouri University in 1935 and Drake University receiving his MBA in 1937. Frank was a Captain in the US Army during WWII. He retired from Geo. D. Roper Corp. as Vice President of finance and property management in 1975. Frank was a member of Christ United Methodist Church, Oakwood Historical Society, Financial Executive Institute, International Order of Masonic Scottish Rite and River Forest Country Club. Preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Nannie (Bennett) Suttles; his first wife, Dorothy Suttles and brother, Eugene Suttles. Survived by wife, Mary Suttles; daughter, Kerry Lynne Suttles of Oakwood; sons, William Frank Suttles Jr. of Santa Fe, NM and Richard G. Suttles of Chicago, IL; granddaughter, Zara Bennett and her husband, Christopher Bornand of Los Angeles, CA; stepson, James Buck and his wife, Paula; grandson, Conrad Buck; nephews, Thomas and Eugene Suttles of MO; grand nieces, Melissa and Melanie. A celebration of Frank’s life and his 90th birthday will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, November 29, 2003, at Woodland Mausoleum, 118 Woodland Ave., Dayton with Rev. John Parent officiating. Family will receive friends from 1-2:00 PM, Saturday at the mausoleum.
