William G. Hollis

HOLLIS, William "Bill" G, age 78, passed away peacefully on June 22, 2017. Bill is survived by his son, Greg (Casie) Hollis; granddaughters; Allison and Rory Hollis, sister-in-law; Beverly Gilewitz, and his other son. He is preceded in death by his wife, Shirley A. (Mote) Hollis, mother; Ruth (Fischer) Hollis; father; William A. Hollis. Bill was born on July 4, 1938 in Dayton, OH. He graduated from Stivers High School in 1956. Bill and Shirley met in the fall of 1959 and were married on November 12, 1960, spending their 50+ years together in Kettering, OH. He loved being outdoors and was an avid trap shooter and accomplished fisherman. Bill was also a dedicated family man, never missing his kids' sporting events. He will always be remembered for his kindness and warm smile. The family will hold a private celebration of his life.
