FENLON William G. "Jerry", CDR, USCG (RET), age 84 of Waynesville, OH passed away Saturday, December 20, 2008. He was born in Oak Park, IL on July 15, 1924 the son of William J. and Helen (Campbell ) Fenlon. Jerry served as a U.S. Coast Guard Aviator for 24 years following 2 years in the U.S. Navy. He was the director of the Warren County Emergency Management Agency for 21 years. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents; his sons, Timothy Patrick and Kevin Sean and his infant daughter, Martha Maureen. He is survived by his wife, Linda (Brewer) Fenlon; his sons, Dennis (wife Diana), Andrew (wife Mandy), and Mathew; his daughter, Kathleen; grandchildren, Corrie Miller, Timothy Jr., Laura, Rachael, Michael, and Lucy Fenlon; great-grandchildren, Morgan and Benjamin Miller and Drew and Katie Fenlon; brothers, Paul and David Fenlon and sister Barbara Friend. Jerry was a member of St. Mary's Episcopal Church for over 20 years where he had been Junior Warden and Treasurer. Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 27, 2008 at 2:00 PM at St. Mary's Episcopal Church, 107 E. 3rd St., Waynesville, with Very Rev. R. James Larsen, Rev. Phil Webster and Rev. Mathew C. Fenlon co-officiating. A reception will be held at the church following a military burial in Miami Cemetery, Corwin, OH. Viewing will be Saturday from 1-2:00 PM prior to the service at the church. If desired donations may be made to St. George's Episcopal Church, 5520 Far Hills Ave. Dayton, OH 45429 or St. Mary's Episcopal Church, 107 S. 3rd St. Waynesville, OH 45068. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Kettering third floor CCU, LifeCare Hospital, and Hospice of Dayton for their care and service.
