William James Shand Iii "Jim"

SHAND, William James III, “Jim”, age 92, passed away Monday, November 30, 2020.

Jim was born May 18, 1928 in Warren, OH to William and Elizabeth Shand. He was a member of South Park United Methodist Church, Van Wert Lodge 218, York Rite Bodies, Antioch Shrine AADNMS, Scottish Rite Valley of Dayton, 33rd degree Mason.

Jim directed the Scottish Rite Men’s Chorus for many years, and also directed the Shrine Chanters for 8 years. Jim graduated from Otterbein College and Miami University. He taught music in the Trotwood Schools and retired from Northmont City Schools.

Jim is preceded in death by his loving wife of 61 years, Martha (2016). He is survived by daughters, Pat (Steve) Wasch, Beth (Doug) Patton; 6 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Private family services are in the care of ROUTSONG FUNERAL HOME, KETTERING.
