WARREN, William Lloyd, age 94 of Kettering, passed away Oct. 20, 2009. Born March 2, 1918 in Eubank, Kentucky, Warren served in the Navy in World War II. He met Madeline Thompson and, after a four week courtship, they eloped in 1942. They were about to celebrate 66 years of marriage, when Madeline passed away in 2007. Warren served as Assistant Chief of Personal at Wright Patterson Air Force, retiring in 1973. During Warren’s tenure, the Personal Office twice received the Pentagon’s Outstanding Office award. Active in Dayton Amateur baseball, Warren became Commission of Dayton Amateur Baseball and was voted into the Dayton Amateur Baseball Hall of Fame. He is survived by his son, John Warren, daughter-in-law, Janet Eilber and granddaughters, Madeline and Eva: all of New York City, New York. The family will greet friends from 1:00-2:00PM on Saturday, October 24 at Routsong Funeral Home, 81 N. Main St., Centerville, OH Funeral service will be held at 2:00PM at the funeral home with Rev.
