William Robert Coen

COEN, William Robert "Bill", age 86, of Kettering, passed away on Wednesday, January 8, 2014. Bill graduated from Springfield High School, in Ohio, in 1945. He was a longtime member of The Lutheran Church of Our Savior, a Major in the US Army, earned a Law degree from The Ohio State University, and a Mason at the Far Hills Lodge. Bill practiced law for over 60 years. In addition to Law, he had a passion for flying and a great love for his family. Bill is preceded in death by his brother, James Kelly Coen. He is survived by his loving wife, Shirley; daughters, Cay Deckard and Sue (Terry) Harbaugh; son, Rusty Coen; grandchildren, Matt and Anna Harbaugh, and Andrew Deckard; nephew, Jim (Holly) Coen and their family; and numerous other family members and friends. Family will greet friends from 6:00-8:00pm on Monday, January 13, 2014 at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 East Stroop Road, Kettering. A funeral service will be held at 10:30am on Tuesday, January 14, 2014 at The Lutheran Church of Our Savior, 155 E. Thruston Blvd., Dayton, OH 45419. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 2808 Reading Road, Cincinnati, OH 45206 or to The Lutheran Church of Our Savior Foundation.
