MOYER, Wilmer L. “Jerry”, age 83, of Beavercreek Twp., formerly of Washington Twp., passed away Tuesday, September 20, 2005. Jerry served in the United States Air Force during WWII. He was an engineer, inventor and entrepreneur, who started his own business at the age of 50, called Line-O-Tape. Prior to that he was a research engineer for NCR, a research director for a tape company in Chicago, and then was a consulting engineer. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Avery and Alice Moyer and his first wife, Marjorie Maxwell Moyer. He is survived by his loving wife of 23 years, Beth Moyer (Wolff); step-children, Julie (Bob) Lawner of Springboro, OH, David Sonneborn of New York City, and George (Rosina) Sonneborn of Washington D.C.; nephew, Larry Maxwell of Louisville, KY; step-grandchildren, Stephan and Sarah Lawner, and many cousins and special family members. Jerry’s family will receive friends from 1-3:00 PM on Saturday, September 24, 2005 at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering, followed by a memorial service at 3:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Red Cross Hurricane Disaster Relief, Dayton Area Chapter, P.O. Box 517, Dayton, OH 45401-0517.
