Winifred E. Ahern

AHERN, Winifred E., age 84, of Washington Township passed away Monday, June 13, 2005 at Hospice of Dayton. Winifred was a 1943 graduate of Miami University. She taught at John Hole School in Centerville and at Smith School in Oakwood . Winifred was a very active volunteer in the Centerville area and was a member of the PEO sisterhood since 1945 and the Alpha Omicron Pi Sorority. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raleigh Ahern in 1996. Winifred is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Susan Ahern of Centerville; daughter, Saralou and David Durham of Cincinnati, OH; 5 grandchildren, Matthew, Lance and Emily Durham and Chad and Michael Ahern; and sister, Lou Anne Bunnel of Centerville. Graveside services will be held, Thursday, June 16, 2005 at 11:00 AM at Centerville Cemetery with Rev. Roland Marcus officiating.
